SUSTAINABILITY AND MINIMAL INTERVENTION

From the very beginning, De Lucca has stood out for its low-intervention approach in the vineyards, becoming a pioneer in the 1990s by adopting this style of vineyard management. We work with sustainable practices through an integrated production system, making efficient use of natural resources such as soil and water, while protecting the biodiversity of our surroundings.

The management of integrated production aims to care for and respect the biodiversity of the ecosystem, blending the vineyard into its environment and allowing flora and fauna to develop naturally—without the use of chemicals that pollute the ecosystem.

Today, we cultivate 40 hectares of our own vineyards, where different low-intervention and biodynamic techniques allow us to obtain high-quality grapes that express the terroir in its most authentic form, creating a distinctive identity.

Since 2022, our production chain has held LSQA Sustainable Certification.

The INAVI Sustainable Viticulture Program is a national initiative that promotes the responsible production of wine grapes, ensuring practices that balance economic viability, social equity, and environmental protection.

It is a voluntary certification system for vineyards, audited and granted by LSQA, an independent entity specializing in sustainability certifications.

Sustainable vineyards: Producers who implement responsible management practices to reduce environmental impact and improve production.
Efficient resource management: Techniques that preserve the soil, optimize water use, and promote biodiversity.
Pest and disease control: Prioritization of natural and biological strategies.
Chain-of-custody certification: In wineries, it guarantees the traceability of certified grapes from the vineyard to the wine’s final packaging.
